Peer review process
- The editorial board will respond about acceptance or rejection of an article within 15 days.
- Upon acceptance, the manuscript is sent to
two anonymous reviewers, selected from the international academic community based on their specific expertise and research interests.
- Reviewers complete their assessments within 30 days of receiving the manuscript, wherein they may recommend to

- publish
- publish with corrections
- necessarily revise with subsequent reassessment by the reviewer
- not publish
- The author is obliged to incorporate the reviewers’ comments.
- Depending on the assessments:

- If both reviews are positive, the contribution will be published in Cultural History.
- In the case of two negative reviews, the contribution is rejected and will not be published.
- If one reviewer recommended publishing the contribution and the other did not, the contribution will be sent to a third reviewer, who will prepare an assessment.
- In cases where the contribution needed to be revised and sent for reassessment—the reviewer may recommend either to publish or not to publish the contribution.
In the event of discovering plagiarism or violation of ethical conduct, the editorial board will proceed according to the statement on publication ethics and academic dishonesty.
In the review form, articles are evaluated according to multiple parameters.
